Ukrainian Embroidery: Heritage, pride, compassion

Owned and worn by Beverly Bartos Burns.

“My Ukrainian heritage. We figure the blouse to be between 80 and 90 years old and hand embroidered by my grandmother.”

At 17, Beverly’s grandmother came to the United States through Ellis Island.
